DJI FlyCart 30 Takes Global Skies for Drone Deliveries

DJI’s FlyCart 30 enters the global drone delivery stage, revolutionizing the industry with its impressive payload capacity and long-range capabilities. Senior Director Christina Zhang expresses confidence, stating, ‘FlyCart 30 efficiently tackles complex terrain and transportation challenges, setting a new standard for aerial deliveries worldwide.’

Revolutionizing Global Drone Deliveries with FlyCart 30

DJI’s FlyCart 30 is not your ordinary delivery drone. It’s a powerhouse, designed to handle hefty payloads and cover long distances. Imagine a drone that can carry up to 30 kg of goods over 16 km, tackling tough terrains and reaching places where traditional delivery methods fall short.

Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI, is optimistic about FlyCart 30’s impact, stating, “FlyCart 30 will efficiently and safely tackle complex terrain and transportation challenges.”

Payload Power and Impressive Range

FlyCart 30 packs a punch with its dual-battery setup, allowing it to carry 30 kg over 16 km. In emergency situations with a single battery, it can handle a whopping 40 kg for 8 km. The O3 transmission keeps it connected to remote controllers up to 20 km away, offering a wide operational range.

DJI’s dual-operator mode adds a cool touch, letting two pilots in different locations control the drone with a single click. This teamwork ensures smoother operations, whether it’s delivering goods to a mountainous area, offshore location, or handling emergency rescue missions.

Ready for Any Environment

FlyCart 30 is a tough cookie, built to handle diverse environments. It’s weatherproof (IP55), can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 45°C, and handle winds up to 12 m/s. The drone’s safety features are impressive, with obstacle sensors, radar systems, and a parachute for emergencies.

Flexible Configurations for Varied Transportation Scenarios

FlyCart 30 is not just strong; it’s smart too. It folds down for easy transport, and in Cargo mode, it uses a 70-liter case for balanced and safe deliveries. In Winch mode, it uses a crane system for areas without proper landing spots. The AR Projection ensures accurate placement of goods, and the drone adjusts mid-flight to avoid cargo swing.

User-Friendly Software for Seamless Operations

To make drone deliveries easy, DJI provides the DJI DeliveryHub system. It covers everything from planning operations and monitoring status to managing team resources. DJI Pilot 2, the manual flight software, shows real-time info for safe operation. The system supports integration with external cloud platforms, making it versatile for various applications.

Entering the Global Delivery Arena

In another big move, DJI is officially entering the delivery and logistics game with FlyCart 30. This drone offers two delivery modes: a cargo box and a winch crane system, giving options for different situations.

Safety and Innovation at the Core

Safety is a top priority for FlyCart 30. It has obstacle avoidance, dual radar, an ADS-B signal receiver, and a parachute for controlled descent during critical failures. Operators can set multiple safe landing points, enhancing safety further.

The drone is weather-ready with IP55 protection, resisting winds up to 12 m/s during takeoff and landing. It reaches a maximum speed of 20 m/s and can stay in the air for 18 minutes with two self-heating batteries and a 30 kg payload.

Dual Control and Delivery Modes

FlyCart 30 introduces dual control, allowing pilots in different locations to switch control with a single button. This addresses challenges related to signal issues and delivery accuracy in long-distance transportation.

The drone supports two delivery methods: container load and empty crane. Container load uses standard-sized containers, while the empty crane method is for areas where landing isn’t safe. DJI has priced FlyCart 30 at $17,000 in China, and it comes with a bunch of goodies, including a remote controller and intelligent flight batteries.

While the drone’s availability in other markets is uncertain, DJI’s entry into the delivery world with FlyCart 30 is a game-changer, setting new standards for efficiency, safety, and innovation in global drone deliveries.
